If you're tracking conversions on RTX Platform, you can customize Conversion Caps in your Campaign Settings to restrict the number of times a user can convert on your offer in a custom period of time. Conversion Caps are especially useful if your offer doesn't pay out for multiple conversions from the same user.

NOTE: Conversion Caps will only work if your campaign is tracking conversions on RTX Platform. To track your campaign's conversions, you'll need to install a conversion pixel.

What are Conversion Caps?

Conversion Caps limit the number of times a user can convert on your offer. Once a user reaches the cap, they will not be shown your ad until they are eligible to convert again.

For example, if you only want a user to convert on your offer once a day, you'd enter 2 in the field labeled Number of conversions and select 24 from the In time period dropdown. A user who converts two times on your offer within 24 hours will not be eligible to see your ad again until 24 hours after their initial conversion.

How do I customize my campaign's Conversion Cap?

If you're already tracking conversions on RTX Platform, you can customize Conversion Caps in your Campaign Settings by following the instructions below. If you aren't tracking conversions on RTX Platform, you'll need to install a conversion pixel before using this feature.

Customize an existing campaign's Conversion Cap:

  1. Select InText or Pops from the top of the page to navigate to the appropriate Overview page.

  2. Click the Campaigns tab in the navigation bar to find your Campaigns Dashboard, then click the campaign you'd like to edit. You can also expand the retractible left sidebar and click the campaign you'd like to edit.

  3. Click the Campaign Settings tab, then scroll to the bottom of the page to find Conversion Caps.

  4. Check the box labeled Enable Conversion Caps.

  5. In the field labeled Number of Conversions, enter the number of times you want the user to convert on your offer. Then, select the length of time you want to apply the cap to each user in the dropdown labeled In time period. For example, a cap of 2 conversions every 1 week would only allow the user to convert on your offer twice a week, at most.

  6.  Click the Save Campaign button to apply your Conversion Cap settings.

Customize a new campaign's Conversion Cap:

  1. Select InText or Pops from the top of the page to navigate to the appropriate Overview page.

  2. Click the Campaigns tab in the navigation bar to find your All Campaigns Dashboard, then create a new campaign by clicking the New Campaign button. You can also expand the retractible left sidebar and click New Campaign.

  3. At this point, you should be on the Campaign Settings tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find Conversion Caps.
